Volvo Buys Polestar, Dozens of Volvo Fans Rejoice

Dozens of Volvo fans are celebrating after finding out that Volvo has bought Polestar. The news was made public by Volvo on Tuesday this week. Just in case you are wondering what exactly Polestar is, here is a brief reminder. Polestar is tuning firm company that came up with the red-hot Volvo V60 Polestar and the equally red-hot Volvo S60. 

So why exactly are Volvo fans worldwide super excited? Well, this basically means that there will be more Polestar for everyone, okay sought off and especially if you are a fan of Volvo’s high performing cars.    

With this particular purchase, Polestar will now officially be Volvo’s in-house tuning badge. With the news Volvo is also expecting big things. According to reports Volvo has also expanded its production. It is expected that near term production will be between 1000 and 1500 Polestar cars on a yearly basis.  

One thing that should also be known by all lovers of Polestar is that it will be going on with the process of selling after-market tuning kits for powerplants that belong to Volvo. This includes, performance packages for Volvo’s upcoming next generation Drive E turbo four-cylinder. 

Employees who were working for Polestar will now be part of Volvo’s team. That said, those who worked at Polestar racing team will not be part of Volvo’s working team and will remain exactly where there are right now.
