First Formula Electric car race in US

The Formula E championship started in Beijing, 2014 and got more and more popular since it involves something completely new and modern. Now, Miami is the 5th out of 10 cities to host the race.

Who says Americans are not interested in this kind of competition is wrong, since thousands of fans watched on Saturday the first event of this type, which took place within the borders of Florida, in one of the most notorious city of East Coast.

Being considered to pioneer technology which will be used on normal road cars, Formula E electric car race promotes the ‘clean’ system which the ‘future’ cars will be based on, according to Richard Branson’s words "I hope 10 years from now the smell of exhausts from cars will be a thing of the past as much as the smell of cigarettes in restaurants". The show left spectators thrilled by the low-slung, long-wheeled cars capable of reaching 136 mph, being noticed the high-pitched whistling sound, and it also attracted sponsors like Michelin and courier service DHL. Wait for the next year and you’ll witness the series becoming an open championship, where eight manufacturers will compete, putting in the spotlight some of the best designs.

The industry of electric cars begins to expand and thanks to events like Formula e Electric car race, the future of electric cars is becoming even brighter, setting the seeds for a healthy tomorrow.
