IndyCar Returns to Watkins Glen International Sept. 1 to 4

Watkins Glen International Raceway is located on County Route 16 in Watkins Glen, N.Y. It was first established in 1948 and it one of the most prestigious racing facility in all of North America.

It was great news that IndyCar returns to Watkins Glen international for the Labor Day weekend. The Verizon is considered the biggest racing event organized in 2016. This event was scheduled for the replacement of the Grand prix event that was cancelled due to a major problem (the race promoters).

Jay Frye is the President of the INYCAR operations and competition. He said that it is exciting news that Indycar returns to Watkins Glen. He gave a lot of credit to Michael Printup and all the staff that will be involved in this event. He further said that they have worked hard and made it possible within a very short time frame. It is a fact that Watkins Glen has a great history regarding racing. Most of the races were the open wheel races. It attracted race loving fans and race car enthusiasts from all over the world.

It is anticipated that the IndyCar race will be fantastic one as Watkins Glen International has gained a wonderful reputation. Tickets for the race were made available to the general people and will be available for purchase from the official website at www.theglen.com
