2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS Still Top Crossover

Over the years, the German carmaker has carved out a name for itself in the luxury driving niche. With the advent of the Mercedes GL, which later became the Mercedes GLS, it aimed at bringing together the luxury that the brand is known for along with high performance and better clearance. In 2017, the Mercedes GLS got quite the upgrade. The changes included the name change to the currently known GLS, a change to the power train and styling, and most importantly, an improved fuel economy that transformed it into a major player in the SUV market. The 2018 Mercedes GLS 4Matic will retain the crown.

Specs

With a 17/22 MPG rating in the city and on the highway respectively, a 6.6 seconds race to 100 KPH and 362 horsepower, there is no question that the 2018 version boasts brute power and speed while remaining economical compared to some of the other models that are available for the same price tag. The crossover SUV also has a top speed of 133 MPH, which is more than most speed junkies in search for a crossover will be looking for.

Increased comfort, luxury, and safety

With a capacity to carry up to seven passengers, the space in the rear rows would be expected to be cramped and robbed of comfort and luxury. This is not the case with the 2018 Mercedes GLS. With large doors and cutting-edge EASY ENTRY technology, the back rows are easier to access. What's more, comfort and luxury is not only limited to the driver and the front passenger but has spilled over to the back row passengers as well. The vehicle has been bumped up with even more space and the second row alone can pack up to 2,300 liters of cargo, which is quite impressive for a 7-seater SUV.

The safety features that come with the Mercedes GLS 4matic ensure that the occupants have the best protection from impact. The car also emphasizes driver assist with plenty of features like the radar-based active brake assist, which will come in handy in helping avoid a collision.

There is no doubt that the 2018 Mercedes GLS 4Matic is a car built for the road and off the road. It spells luxury boldly and offers an unbeatable experience to the driver and the other occupants making it one of the top crossovers coming into 2018.
